Learning to swim is a key life skill for any child. Swimming lessons teach independence, allows them to get active while enjoying themselves, gives them the ability to get themselves out of potentially life-threatening situations and enables them (and you!) to enjoy trips to the seaside and beach holidays to the full.
All our Swim Schools follow the Swim England Learn to Swim programme. This is the leading national teaching syllabus for delivering safe, inclusive and effective swimming lessons for all ages.
Our weekly classes start with our parent & baby sessions and pre-school classes developing water confidence and into the main Stage 1-7 programmes as they start school. Covering all four main strokes and the water skills to ensure confidence and comfort in the water.
From stage 8 onwards we offer children a range of options to further their interests and aquatic journey to offer a pathway into local community clubs including competitive swimming, Rookie lifeguard, and water polo.
We encourage everyone on our swimming lesson programme to enjoy the water outside of their lessons so all children’s lessons include free swimming as a benefit of their membership.

Track your child’s Swim School progress via our Homeportal by clicking here.
Once registered this will enable you to check lesson times, view your child's current progress and if they’re ready to move to the next stage you’ll also be able to make movements to a time that suits you best. If you have more than one child swimming with us you can link accounts to view them all in one place. To register you’ll need to use their LeisureSK card number (older 1Life cards are still valid) which will have been issued on enrolment. Details can also be found on the enrolment confirmation email sent when swimmers join the scheme.
